Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the provisions laid down under, including but not limited to

• The Indian Contract Act 1872,
• The (Indian) Information Technology Act, 2000, and
• The rules, regulations, guidelines, and clarifications framed thereunder, including the (Indian) Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (the “SPI Rules”), and the (Indian) Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011 (the “IG Rules”).
• Rule 3(1)(a) of Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the same constitute "Electronic Record" within the meaning of Section 2(t) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules framed thereunder.

This Policy being an electronic record does not require any signature and meets the stipulations and conditions mentioned in Section 65B(2) of the Indian Evidence Act 1872.

1. Your Acceptance of This Policy

By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and the applicable Terms of Service. While accessing or using our platform/services, you have given explicit consent to collect, use, share or otherwise process your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use our Platform or service.

You acknowledge that you are disclosing Personal Information voluntarily. Prior to the completion of any registration process on our Platform or prior to availing of any services offered on our Platform, if you wish not to disclose any Personal Information, you may refrain from doing so; however, if you don't provide information that is requested, it is possible that the registration process would be incomplete and/or you would not be able to avail of our services.

2. Applicability

The Agreement applies to you whether you are -

• A medical practitioner, Pharmacy, Lab, or health care service provider (whether an individual professional or an organization) or similar institution listed on the Platform; or
• A patient, his/her representatives or affiliates, or any legal entity, searching for Pharmacy, Lab or Practitioners through the Platform ("End-User").

This Agreement applies to the services offered by EMed HealthMart on the Platform, which are offered to the Users ("Services").

3. Collection of Information

We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve the content of our web pages and the quality of our service, and is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you have requested when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by the law.

We transfer information about you if EMed HealthMart is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, EMed HealthMart will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Information Gathering and Usage

When you register for EMed HealthMart, we ask for information such as your name, email address, cell phone number, billing address, and/or credit card information.

EMed HealthMart uses collected information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.

Or for the following specific purposes mentioned below: 

Mobile numbers for login purposes and to show them on the profile or to contact you.

Email ID to send you transaction and order-related notifications to help you with resetting passwords and/or login purposes. 

Prescription images, in some cases, as mandated by the law.

5. Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique anonymous identifier sent to your browser from a website's computer and stored on your computer's hard drive.

Cookies are required to use the EMed HealthMart services.

We use cookies to record current session information but do not use permanent cookies. You are required to log in to your EMed HealthMart Project Site after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing your account contents.

6. Data Storage

EMed HealthMart uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run EMed HealthMart. Although EMed HealthMart owns the code, databases, and all rights to the EMed HealthMart application, you retain all rights to your data.

EMed HealthMart may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

7. Changes

EMed HealthMart may periodically update this Policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your EMed HealthMart primary holder account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
